Some of our distinctive features include an ongoing commitment to integrating technology into the classroom, delivery of a relevant and engaging curriculum, modern, new facilities with spacious classrooms and a range of programs for Gifted and Talented students. We pride ourselves on working with students, parents and carers and the school community to deliver a world class education.
Our beautiful grounds tucked away off the main roads and nestled at the base of Castle Hill, provide a tranquil, harmonious environment for students and staff. The school has a strong reputation for environmentally friendly practices and encourages the children to adopt similar practices.
At Belgian Gardens State School we place great importance on "old fashioned values" such as courtesy, good manners, hard work and honesty. We strongly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and provide numerous opportunities for family members to become involved in many aspects of their child's education. Our music programme is one of Townsville's best and gives us great pride. The children have many opportunities to be come involved in instrumental, choral and dance programs.
Welcome to Belgian Gardens State School one of the popular educators in your Townsville area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
