Fostering elite athletes and helping them to play sport whilst studying is a major part of that commitment. Griffith has many links with local and international sporting organisations.

The Griffith Sports College (GSC) aims to make Griffith University the number one university in Australia in the delivery of sports programs and expertise, be strongly associated with the industry and science of sport, and the university of choice for elite athletes.

At an individual level, the GSC will aid elite athletes in sourcing flexible study means to enable them to continue performing at optimum level whilst studying.

At a structural level the GSC will be a central coordination point for the integration of sport and education and the development of sports initiatives including programs and degrees.
