The Development Academy is a not for profit organisation which facilitates the training and development needs for communities in Queensland. Specifically focusing on the North West, South East and West regions. With an established training facility in Mount Isa and a base in Toowoomba, The Development Academy is ideally positioned to service these regions.The Development Academy was initially established to provide a platform for people in the community and companies to have a central location to find quality training, mentoring and coaching. The organisation has in place partnerships with various highly reputable registered training organisations, contract trainers and workforce development specialists. Due to these strong alliances The Development Academy has the capacity to deliver on the needs of any company or individual. If a partnership with the required RTO, trainer or specialist does not exist, The Development Academy has the capacity to source the resources needed to produce a positive outcome.Due to the not for profit status of The Development Academy, opportunities such as the Free Adult Literacy Program can be founded. These development programs can be offered to the community at a no or low cost basis. The founding members of the organisation have strong community linkages and endeavour to implement new initiatives that will directly benefit and increase the capacity within their region. The Development Academy can provide both accredited and non-accredited training.
