Lyndhurst Public School is a P5 primary school which has served the village of Lyndhurst and surrounding rural areas continuously since 1889. The picturesque school enjoys two well maintained, historical classrooms as well as extensive playing areas. The school provides a caring and supportive environment that aims to provide students with a comprehensive education that will enable them to be life long learners and to meet the challenges of the future. Students are encouraged to excel in all their pursuits, academic, creative or sporting. The school is supported by an active P & C and community. The school has endeavoured to be seen as an integral part of the community throughout 2009. Links between the community and parents are continuing to develop. Lyndhurst Public School also recognises the difficulties of isolation in a small school and consequently networks with the surrounding schools of Mandurama, Errowanbang, and Carcoar in a variety of sporting activities, cultural events, excursions and curricular activities.
