About Woodlands Independent Primary School

Adelaide Schools introduces Woodlands Independent Primary School in Woodlands, for all your education and learning needs.

Woodlands Independent Primary School began operating in 1964, opening with 53 students. The collaboration between the staff and parents was significant from the outset. Parents and staff planted the oval for example. In 2012 we were granted ‘independent public school’ (IPS) status. In 2014 we will celebrate our 50th anniversary.

We aim to make the school a happy place where children enjoy learning. We trust they develop socially and academically to the best of their ability in a happy atmosphere of co-operation with staff and other children.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated staff and we will do the best for your children but we need your support. Please feel free to come to the school to discuss your children’s progress, assist the teachers in the classroom, help with reading, or any of our other activities. For prolonged meetings with teachers please ring so an appointment can be arranged.

Community members and prospective parents are most welcome to visit the school – just let us know and we will take the time to show you our facilities and tell you about our programmes. We appreciate your views and suggestions and by sharing and caring we can make Woodlands a school of excellence.
