Established in 1899, North Perth Primary School has a long and vibrant history. It's this connection with a colourful and interesting past, along with the enthusiasm and energy of the current students, staff and parents that makes North Perth Primary a dynamic school community. The original school motto Honour, Loyalty and Duty is today understood as our values of respect, trustworthiness and responsibility, and is as apt as ever.

Many outstanding students have attended North Perth Primary School. Our honour boards record the names of two Rhodes Scholars, and many high profile members of the arts, legal and sporting communities.

North Perth Primary School caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 7. The majority of our students live in North Perth, and a small section of West Perth, Leederville and Mt Lawley. The school is now a local intake school and enrolments are limited to children living within this area.

We have a strong commitment to developmental learning and operate a number of multi-age grouped classes throughout the school. We believe in promoting a healthy lifestyle, and varied initiatives each year contribute to the development of positive values and the achievement of sound outcomes in emotional and physical health.

The school grounds and facilities have improved enormously over recent years to include a covered assembly area, new toilets, new early childhood centres for Kindergarten and Pre-primary, a new library, fitness track and adventure playgrounds. The grounds have been enhanced by a terraced and landscaped area on the oval. The school has a strong environmental focus, with frequent tree plantings, vegetable gardening and the creation of water-wise and bird-attracting gardens. An artist in residence program helped create a colourful mural, sculptures and paths.

The community spirit and strong partnership between parents and teachers have seen North Perth Primary School go from strength to strength. Much has been achieved through the hard work of students, teachers, parents and members of the wider community, all of whom show a great interest in our school
