Adelaide Schools introduces Drouin Secondary College in Drouin, for all your education and learning needs.
Drouin Secondary College offers a high quality education to all students. The College prides itself on its ability to cater for individual’s needs, abilities and interests. We also emphasise the power of a strong partnership between our students, staff, parents and the local community.
The College culture is based on our vision and our core values. Our vision states, “Drouin Secondary College is committed to ensuring every student develops knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to positively contribute as a responsible and caring citizen of a changing global community.” Our four core values of Commitment, Achievement, Respect and Community are integral in our day to day life at the College. The College believes all children can succeed and we work to achieve a balanced focus on student achievement and student welfare.
We have been growing consistently over the past 5 years and currently have a student population of 945 students. Our size allows us to maintain a community feel while offering a wide range of subjects, opportunities and pathways. The scope of curriculum offerings and extra curricular opportunities enables us to cater effectively for all our students. In the past two years we have worked hard to revamp our curriculum and timetable to give students a greater number of opportunities and pathways. The College now offers a strong and flexible year 7 to 10 program where our blocking structure allows individual students to move between levels to access units that reflect their individual strengths and weaknesses. For example, a talented year 8 student may complete year 9 or even year 10 subjects in a strength area.
Welcome to Drouin Secondary College one of the popular educators in your Drouin area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
