Welcome to Blackwater State School where we ‘Strive to Achieve’.
Blackwater State School is a coeducational school that caters for students from prep to year seven and is located approximately 200km west of Rockhampton. Blackwater State School was opened in 1967, at this present site as a result of the development of the coal mining industry in Blackwater.
At Blackwater State School, we provide quality learning experiences in a safe, caring and supportive environment. We are committed to achieving the best educational outcomes for every student in our school. Our experienced staff successfully create friendly, stimulating and engaging learning environments for all students by leading the way in curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.
The staff, students and community are extremely proud of our school. Blackwater State School offers a unique learning environment with a combination of small classes operating in large, open, air-conditioned classrooms. Our school grounds are well maintained and our beautiful outdoor areas are respected by all students.
Welcome to Blackwater State School one of the popular educators in your Clifton area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
