St Francis Catholic Primary School opened in January 2005. A strong emphasis is placed on developing an ethos of compassion and care and an opportunity for educational excellence in a Christian environment. A Franciscan Spiritually is adopted with a culture also embracing the Indigenous heritage of this region.

St Francis Catholic Primary School incorporates Technologies across all Key Learning Areas and resources to support investigative learning in all year levels are numerous and varied.  A pedagogical approach across the school which guides teaching and learning using the 21st C Fluencies is Solution Fluency using the 6 D’s process. This process helps students think creatively to solve problems in real time by clearly defining the problem, designing an appropriate solution, delivering the solution and then evaluating the process and the outcome.

School purchased devices have been distributed to Years 4-6 to enable 1:1 devices in upper primary, allowing students to fully integrate IT into all aspects of learning through with the use of Google Classroom and Google Apps, investigate projects, robotics and coding.

Lower Primary (P-3) also have access to a range of laptops, desktops and iPads which are used for investigate projects, word processing, robotics and coding.

The Parents and Friends Association at St Francis focuses on building community within the school via strengthening harmonious parent/school relationships for the benefit of all students.
